Goddess of Summer

End of April and start of May, yet it's still crazily hot this summer season. I have decided to officially wear summer instead of living in it under the scorching hotness of the sun.

Channeling the spirits of the gods and goddesses, I call myself the Goddess of Summer in this staple. This high-low dress gives elegance, yet is still in line with the season's trends.

I paired gold and silver accessories with the dress to give more elegance and the "goddess" feel to it.

What kind of goddess might you be? xoxo.

Golden Age

Spring Summer fashion trends are all about florals, pastels, sheers, and etc. But on this day, I chose to wear something different, yet still showed a hint of the current season.

I have worn this pair of shorts several times already because it brings the cuteness to any outfit I've worn with it. It's also light and airy, which is perfect for spring summer.

I paired the shorts with a gold off-shoulder top to add a sexy vibe to the look, and gold accessories to match. The sheer top is perfect for the season since it is light and thin.

Disneyland Hong Kong 2012

I recently joined a study tour (study ba talaga?) to Hong Kong under the alumni association of my mom. Lollipop, cotton candy, and roller coaster, anyone? :D

Of course when I got the chance, I immediately grabbed a photo op with Mickey and Minnie before entering the so-called fantasy land. I decided to wear shorts that day because of the extremely hot weather in Hong Kong. Almost the same as in the Philippines, only not too humid. I wore a recent trend, which is the crochet top, then matched it with maroon shorts. The velvet texture of the maroon shorts balanced the rural and laid-back style of the crochet top. I paired bronze-gold accessories and glitter sandals to add some "me" character in my outfit. I call this outfit "Pocahontas meets Disney" because the crochet top gives me the feel of Pocahontas, and the shorts give me impression of beautiful Disney princesses.

This is my ticket to fantasy land.

What else would be the perfect background to represent Disneyland other than this beautiful palace, which is the main attraction of the theme park?

RC Racer. This was the main activity of our group during our stay. This roller coaster goes back and forth at a high speed, just like Anchor's Away in Enchanted Kingdom, only scarier and more exciting.

We sat on the last row... Yikes!

Still in my character after the ride.

I felt like Katy Perry with this yummy cotton candy! (obviously, I was still in my fantasy land...)

And lastly, this was my group inside Disneyland.

So, what fantasies do you have when going to a theme park like Disneyland? xoxo.

Old English

Romantic. After the scorching glare of the sun has hidden behind the clouds or has gone down and melted to the sea during sunset, all those left in the sky will be stars shining brightly and the moon staring tenderly from above. It's so nice to just lie down on Dedon beds beside the pool at night, look at the sky, breathe the evening breeze and count the seemingly endless diamonds up above. After a long hot day outside, chilling down and retiring at night would be the best part. My favorite part is when all the traffic noises and the heat of the sun dies down and make way for a quiet and romantic night.

This is one of the outfits that I would wear at night. Be it for a high-profile party, or a date, or just hang-out with friends, this outfit is night-out ready. It's elegant, simple, yet stylish. It's a statement outfit that reflects my personality and taste. In my case, I like to stick to black and other neutral or earth tones at night. I reserve my bright hues during the day. And certainly, I am a fan of elegant and sophisticated clothing pieces.

This top reminds me of clothing of women centuries ago. They would wear ball gowns that are corset-type sexy, yet conservative with the sleeves and length of the gown. I love this top because it gives me a nostalgia of those times and is also modern in its shape and texture. I paired it with a brown belt which gives more shape to my outfit.

You have certainly seen me in this pleated mullet skirt for a number of outfits already. I love this for the moment and can't keep my hands off it!

I finished off my look with minimal accessories. A vintage old rose ring, orange gold ring, and a brown one to add color and edge to my look.

Til my next blog post. I'm off to Hong Kong for my last Eat, Pray, and Love trip! xoxo

Life's Peachy

Hello Summer 2012!!! I love summer! I immediately think of going to the beach, the sun, sand, and the sea. And of course, it's also the time to bring out my best summer dresses and be cute and bright while the sun shines. If only summer could be every day of the year, only season of the year, I would fill my wardrobe with bright colors, neons, and sheer. Here is one of the outfits I would definitely be seen during those hot summer days:

I am addicted to orange or near-orange shades right now because it is perfect for spring summer. I saw this cute floral top and next to it was this orange high-waisted shorts. Perfect match!

Then I threw on my pair of green wedges, and another orange-shaded sling bag, and I'm off.

I kept the accessories minimal since it was really hot out there and I did not want to end up with sweaty or sticky arms. I saw these orange and green bangles last month in the SuperSale Bazaar. The heart-shaped ring added a little funky and fun vibe to the ensemble.

How about you? What would your best summer outfits be? xoxo
